Motorola has officially confirmed it on Twitter that the Moto G4 (4th Gen) will go on sale on Amazon starting June 22. However, they haven’t revealed the pricing details of the phone but some rumors are suggesting that the smartphone will be priced at 12499 INR in India. Previous Motorola smartphones such as Moto G3 and Moto G Turbo Edition can also see a permanent price drop after the G4 availability.

Motorola released the new Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India on 17th May 2016. Moto G4 will come with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. G4 Plus will be 2GB RAM / 16 GB ROM & 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM. Moto G4 will launch next month in India while the G4 Plus will be available to buy starting today’s midnight in India, through exclusively on Amazon.in. The 16 GB/2 GB Moto G4 Plus model will cost about $200(13,499 INR) while the 32 GB/3 GB G4 Plus variant will cost about $225 (14,999 INR). Motorola hasn’t revealed Moto G4 pricing but sources are suggesting that it will be priced about 180$ (11999 INR). Moto G4 Plus comes with a hidden LED light but it is not for notification purpose, It only lights up when you plug USB. Maybe Motorola is working on a new notification LED light scheme or maybe it is just a low battery On-Off light.

Motorola has also announced Moto G Play, Which an economical version of Moto G 4th Gen series. It has a 5inches 720p 1280×720 294ppi pixels display. The listing reveals the smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 CPU (MSM8952 chipset) Moto G4 Baseband identifies SoC as MSM8952, But. Android Build-ID for it says “8976” aka 8952_64. So. Snapdragon 650/652!coupled with 3GB of RAM. However, earlier leaked has suggested that only Moto G4 Plus will get 3 GB of Ram. Both smartphones will feature 5.5 inches Full HD screen.
Update: 12th May 2016- Recently, in a press statement, Motorola Mobility India head, Amit Boni has confirmed the next Motorola smartphone’s availability via Amazon India. In the statement, he said “We have witnessed tremendous growth in the e-commerce market and it will continue to be the dominating channel for us as we bring new products to the India market. Amazon.in is the one of the best online marketplaces in India and we are glad to announce that we have exclusively partnered with Amazon India for our next Motorola smartphone.” Although the first Motorola’s exclusive partner was Flipkart, but it’s ongoing delivery issues in some state of India pushed Motorola to partner with Amazon India.
Update: 11 May 2016- Two eBay listings have popped up on eBay showing two different front panel displays for an unknown device. Well, not totally unknown. The listings claim they’re for the “Motorola Moto G4 (Moto G 2016),” with the first listing being a black panel and the second a white panel. These are the full display assemblies aka front panels, which include connectors and everything.
The listening clearly suggests a 1080p 5.5 inches display. However, Earlier leaks have suggested that only Moto G4 Plus variant will get a fingerprint sensor on the home button, So we can assume that the home button display panels are for Moto G4 plus and non-home button panels is for Moto G4. The most interesting thing is its hardware, this time, Motorola wants to bridge the gap between Budget phone and high-end phone. The reason is Moto E 3rd Gen or 2016 Moto E model.
9 May 2016: Another leak hints that one of the Moto G 4th Gen phones may feature Snapdragon 617 chipset. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 is an Octa-Core chipset designed for low battery power smartphones. The chipset has 8x Cortex A53 cores, Cortex A53 is a CPU architecture designed to lower the power usage of CPU.

The teasers suggest that the next Moto G would feature a better SOC (CPU and GPU), a better camera, a better battery, and enhanced security. The event date is still not so near, So maybe we will be able to hear more teasers and specs from Motorola.

However, Snapdragon 652 is much faster than 650 but for a budget phone it is still an excellent choice. Because in larger scale manufacturing every dollar matters a lot, or maybe the 652 Chipset is reserved for upcoming Moto X Play. You can also call Moto G4 Plus edition as a turbo edition of Moto G4. However, in the turbo edition of Moto G3, the only difference was CPU, that’s why it is named as Moto G4 Plus to avoid the confusion.
Moto G4 would feature 2 GB of Ram alongside with 2650 mAh battery. While the Moto G4 Plus would feature a 3 GB od Ram alongside with 3000 mAh battery. You can say that Motorola wants to target both budget and Mid-End segment at once. As we told you earlier both variants will come with 13 MP camera. The camera sensor is also identical in both variants. Both Moto G 2016 models would come with LTE and voLTE support out of the box. On the operating system side no question about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. On the speaker side, a little disappointment for Audio lovers cause this time again only a single speaker is present so no stereo speakers in Moto G 4th Gen.
Another interesting this is that the Smartphone would come in 2 display sizes which means, Moto G4 will come with 5.5″inches screen and Moto G4 Plus also comes with a 5.5″inches screen. Screen resolution is also same in both smartphones, Both models come with 1080p 1920×1080 pixels display. So the low-end budget segment is now reserved for Moto G Play smartphone.
Update: – 16-02-2016 – Moto G 4th Gen release programme 1. India ( 17 May) 2. China, Brazil (Last week of May) 3. USA, UK, Mexico, Canada, Vietnam, Bangladesh, UAE and European countries ( Early June or Mid June) 4. Some Asian countries and African countries ( Late June). 
As always India, Brazil and China will receive the smartphone first, because of the high demand for budget phones and a great brand image. LTE bands may vary country to country, but it will be useable in most of the countries. The exact release date is still a mystery, maybe even Motorola hasn’t planned it yet. However, almost all sources are suggesting a June or July launch.
Moto G 2016 Will come with Gorilla Glass 4protection for display and 6H hardness glass on the phone’s camera. Yes, there will be no shatter proof screen. Well, shatter proof screen is currently exclusive for high-end Moto devices. Exact release date is still unknown but most of the sources are suggesting an early June release.

It is also suggested by Lenovo’s CEO that both companies can use their technologies in smartphones to improve cost and user experience. Which means Moto G4 will use Theater Max technology and VR kit like just launched Lenovo’s K4Note smartphone.
Moto G 4th Gen can also come with Quick Charge 3.0, Another leak suggests that Moto G4 can feature a physical button for easy navigation and some design enhancements, Maybe fingerprint sensor is the reason behind putting a Home button. So you can expect a home button with fingerprint sensor like an iPhone. As for the build, we can say that Moto G 4 will definitely come with a water resistance coating.
Moto G4 And Moto G4 Plus Specs And Release Date
As we know that the current Moto G 2015 also known as Moto G 3nd Generation clocks a lower and has a Snapdragon 410 chipset, Qualcomm’s old chipset which is not sufficient and outdated in many terms like gaming and can’t meet the current users demands.
According to an anonymous tipster, Motorola is again planning to launch 2 models of Moto G4, one with 3 GB of Ram and second 2 GB of Ram. So that can target both mid and lower end market, And was tested while running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You can also expect some software updates after that.

Moto G 3 was launched with a 13Mp camera which was really a good camera in terms of price of the phone but not so good if you consider today’s demand of camera in a smartphone, that’s why Motorola upgraded that to 13 MP in Moto g4 the sensor of the camera will also change that means moto g 4rd gen will also have a better resolution camera and upgrade in quality side means, you can expect more sharp and clear images in moto g 4 camera thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and Sony’s Exmor sensor.
